The gyration of 1776 was not a true revolution, but a switching of British Tyranny for American Tyranny. The American Revolution was a war between corking Britain and the Thirteen Colonies. It had started when on that point was conflict between the Thirteen Colonies and Great Britain, about how Great Britain treated the colonies versus how the colonies felt they should be treated. The Revolution of 1776 was not a true Revolution because it did not benefit people such as women, Blacks, Indians and unworthy people. Where intimately people lived, there was a conflict of poor against rich, one which political readers would use to mobilize the population against England, granting some benefits for the poor and gentlemany more for themselves(Zinn,p.62) The British brass started to raise tax revenue by taxing the colonies. They passed a serious of acts such as the Sugar cloak in which they taxed sugar and the Tea Act in which they taxed tea. The Colonist responded to this by boycotting and by dumping tea into Boston Harbor. This proves that The American Revolution wasnt really a Revolution because not everyone could benefit from it.



They only people who could really benefit from it were rich people and whites.
On January 10, 1776, a man named Thomas Paine published a pamphlet called common sense. In it he describes his own visions on a government in which elected representatives would have complete supreme power caller in every state is a blessing, but authorities even in its best state is but a necessary evil(Zinn, p.69) Paine represented a strong cardinal government. This shows that there was no form of democracy and also that the American Revolution wasnt really a fair or true revolution.
